No longer is this a fleeing
I have learnt already the grass is not greener
just a mirage from across the way
for it is I that makes the grass green
with the songs & stories I feed it
A pilgrimage into the past
to the land on which my ancestors stood
Connection awaits me there
a homecoming for the heart
My lineage of word and magick
woven from flesh and bone

I am fortunate enough to be off on retreat for a week. I will be immersed fully in the land, in the experience, in the people and in myself - so my phone will be OFF. The idea of this may scare some people, but for me it brings a sense of freedom.
