I am the mother, and the mother is me. 

I return to her each month, mixing blood with dirt; in honour, in gratitude. As my release soaks in she bears witness to my trials and torment, and offers me triumph in return. Mother, sister, ally, friend - nature is the divine feminine embodied; the greatest of space holders and my favourite teacher. 

I give myself over to her now only in part - an offering - until my human flesh returns home to her one day, and we become one once more.
