Grains have grown and berries sweetened, the start of harvest season is upon us. This turning of the wheel marks the halfway point between the summer solstice and autumn equinox. This is a time of assessment, of looking at what has been achieved since spring.
As we gather the first of the bountiful gifts from the earth, we celebrate the abundance with gratitude in our hearts. Pause to appreciate the hard work, patience and dedication required in growing and harvesting the food that sustains our life.
Natures shifts always offer us space for inward reflection, as we are reaping what we have sown consider what dreams and intentions have unfolded for you during the course of the year.
With golden evenings drawing shorter each night, the waning energy of the Sun God is reflected in the failing light. He bows down to the Mother Goddess who bears the fruit they made together and begins his journey back to earth. Shifting yang to yin, the transference of energy is moving from the outer world to the inner.
Take a moment today to express gratitude for the gifts of the land and all that has come to fruition in your life.
