The Tarot Thread: Gemini New Moon
MOON PEAKS: 15th June 2026, 03.54 (uk)
The tarot card connected to this Gemini New Moon is the Ten of Swords.
At first glance, it doesn't seem like a particularly hopeful card.
A figure lies beneath a dark sky, pierced by ten swords. Most interpretations focus on betrayal, painful endings or reaching rock bottom. Yet if we look beyond the immediate imagery, something important emerges.
The sun is rising and the dark clouds of the mind are leaving. The ending has already happened, the worst is over.
Gemini governs the mind. It rules our thoughts, beliefs, communication, perception and the stories we tell ourselves about the world around us. Under this lunation, we are being invited to examine the narratives that shape our reality.
Endings that are serving us to set new intentions under the moon.
The Ten of Swords appears when something has reached its natural conclusion. The question is whether we are willing to accept that ending or continue trying to revive what is already complete.
Where are you still carrying a narrative that has expired?
Where have you convinced yourself that a particular story is the truth, rather than simply one version of events?
What conversation have you been avoiding because you already know what needs to be said?
Gemini teaches us that perception is not fixed. We do not experience life as it is. We experience it through the lens of our beliefs, experiences and understanding. As those things change, so too can the reality we create for ourselves.
This New Moon asks us to become conscious of the information we consume, the words we speak and the stories we continue to repeat, because every thought we think is shaping the way we move through the world.
The Ten of Swords reminds us that not every thought deserves permanence, not every belief deserves our undying loyalty, and not every narrative deserves another chapter.
Some stories have fulfilled their purpose, and taught us all they can.
Some conversations have reached the point where honesty is required if growth is to occur, and this can be done with a compassionate tongue instead of a sharp one.
This is gemini, so communicate! Words have power, will you use them to wound or heal? To create division or build bridges? Inwardly and outwardly remember!
The Ten of Swords asks us to lay down the mental battles that no longer need to be fought, and stop carrying perspectives that have become burdensome. Stop identifying with old stories, as you’ll leave no room for new ones to emerge.
Because beyond every ending lies a new beginning, the rising dawn promises that.
