The sun climbs to the highest point in the sky; triumphant! Celebrations and ceremonies abound! We welcome the longest day with the shortest shadow, and the energies are shine down on us in streams of orange and gold.
Summer brings increased growth for all things, expansion is the name of the game. The radiance of the sun inspiring our inner light to shine brightly outward into the world.
There is an obvious dichotomy here - solar flares activating whilst we transition into the soft healing waters of Cancer season on the same day. One encourages us to nurture the inner world, one chants tunes of expansion and dazzlement.
Wait, what; how on earth can I do both? Well, it’s an inside job first; Cancer season is setting the stage for the lion takeover come Leo season. We start by pulling the solar energy up from the deepest of roots to nourish and support our beings, so that it can burst forth from our hearts with an almighty bang of glitter in a month’s time. It is all connected, one serves the other; the inward draw of energy ensures the extravagant outward turn can burn as brightly as can be later in the season.
So dance and rejoice in this glorious turning of the wheel, give yourself over to the season and surrender to the gifts the natural world offers us. What is it that you desire? Speak it to the summer sun in prayer, make your body moving poetry, praise the power of elemental fire as it heats the waters that flow within. Feed your soul this medicine to ensure its wholeness. Offer it love, and believe in its worthiness to receive.
You DO deserve and you ARE worthy.
Prioritise filling up your cup first, so you can pour outwardly without concern when Leo season comes to play. It’s a thirsty world after all!
