Cancer Season: Come Home to Self & Nurture Your Inner Light

Cancer takes our hand and gently ushers us away from the social hustle and bustle of Gemini season. We are led to a secret grove where a heart-shaped body of water awaits us, held securely in the earth by the strongest of tribal roots. The Divine Mother that is Cancer coos to us softly, singing us lullabies to nourish and protect - this is a season about deep heart-led emotional restoration, and we must enter her warm waters to receive her tender gifts.
The fourth sign of the zodiac calls us to journey inward and come back home to ourselves. The seas of emotions run deep with this sensitive crabby, which is why the hard shell seems so necessary to protect its soft underbelly and squidgy insides. The question that lingers in the cardinal waters, however, is how can you feel safe and cared for whilst lowering the defences so that love can truly enter.
Moon-ruled mother crab wears her heart on her sleeve to showcase clearly the power of it. Her intuition born from the womb of ancient ancestral roots, and she reflects this wisdom upon us.
She protects fiercely so that we can soften safely because she deeply understands that those that are nourished, nourish; those that are loved, love; those that are safe offer sanctuary to those that aren’t; those that are cared for, care.
Cancer's gentle and compassionate medicine is so needed, but the first mouth you must feed is your own. The Summer Solstice, the celebration of the sun, arrives on the same day. This is not by chance, but to encourage us to find, activate and tend to the light within, so we can then share that magick courageously come Leo season.
Our light isn’t meant to stay hidden. We all have a spark of divinity within us, and it is our duty to allow it an opening to ripple outwards into the world.
