Leo New Moon Solar Eclipse: Who Are You Beneath the Performance?

A New Moon Solar Eclipse ushers in a powerful new cycle, with a demand that the past be cleared out.
Eclipses warp timelines, and things can move and shift quickly during this portals. Doors that were jammed tight may finally swing open with ease, whilst others may suddenly slam shut.
Consider these portals a time where fate takes hold of the reigns. If something in your life is not aligned with where you are supposed to be heading, then you will soon find out.
And this one is taking place in Leo, so expect a dramatic affair.
This is just the beginning. This is the first eclipse in the series with the new Leo-Aquarius nodal axis, what happens now will continue to play out for some time.
Leo governs self-expression, creativity, passion, leadership, children and the inner child. Like its ruling Sun, this lions heart wants to be seen. The question here though is less about how brightly you’d like to shine, but more of why does it want to shine in the first place?
The South Node is in Leo, so the release trigger is its shadow side - this is our point of focus. We are going to be forced to look at where we seek validation instead of genuine connection, perform confidence rather than embody it, and chase likes instead of purpose. The time for inauthenticity is out, leading needs to come from the heart.
This is going to be a cold and harsh mirror for anyone that is not honouring their truth, or that steals another’s sparkle so that they can shine brighter. If you build your empire at the expense of others, you are simply starving your soul.
Courage is required, as confronting where we have been hiding our unique nature, or masquerading as something we aren’t just to fit in or get on top, is not going to be comfortable. Childhood wounds, old habits and familiar patterns will be front and centre, so they can be acknowledged, witnessed and laid to rest.
Think of the themes that Leo governs, any or all of these may start to rise up on your awareness, now and in the coming months. Not just for us personally, but we will be looking at the world around us through the same lens. Celebrities, influencers, world leaders, fake gurus - anywhere there is performative influence that does not support the collective as a whole will be exposed.
The Sun symbolises where our souls spark comes through, and the tension will be felt as it illuminates the difference from being the source of light, from simple needing to be in the spotlight. The cracks in peoples charisma, as well as fake substance will show very clearly. And the culture of hierarchical importance that we have been supporting will begin to fall away as we start to reclaim the parts of ourselves that have built the pedestals on which they stand.
And this is what this Eclipse opens up space for, so that we can start to release identities that are not stemming from our souls truth. It is introducing a new way of being by highlighting what can no longer continue if we want to continue to evolve.
Leo wants us to be nothing but unapologetically ourselves. So that we express ourselves truthfully, and be exactly who we were born to be.
Pay attention to any downloads or sudden shifts around this time, especially within these parts of your birth chart : your Leo house, the house in which your sun sits and your 5th house (which is Leo ruled).
This is a great time to really take a look at ourselves in the mirror, and question our authenticity. Is the life you are living truly making you happy? Has the weight of the masks you wear become too great a burden? Strip your ego away and return to your heart.
You came to this earth with a unique blueprint and purpose, plant seeds about coming into alignment with that. Embrace your gifts and empower yourself! This is the playground you need to be playing in, because wouldn’t life be filled with so much more joy if it were lived, and you were loved, from truth instead of performance?
