What are the Nodes?
They are not planets or celestial bodies. They are calculated points in the sky where the moon’s orbit crosses the path of the sun.
There are two nodes, North ☊ and South ☋, and they sit in opposites parts of your birth chart.
Sometimes referred to as the Dragon’s head (☊) and Dragon’s tail (☋).
They tell a story of movement, from where we have been to where we are heading.
FOR US PERSONALLY:
Your Nodes never change. They remain in the same signs and houses throughout your life, acting as one of the clearest guides to your soul's growth and evolution.
They are two of the most important points in your birth chart because they reveal both the gifts you already possess, the hurdles you need to overcome and the direction you're being invited to grow into.

The North Node
The North Node describes the direction your soul is growing towards. It is your guiding force.
It asks you to develop qualities that don't always come naturally. That can feel uncomfortable, but when consciously embraced, it’s where some of your deepest fulfilment lives.
This is soul work, karmic work; you have to work through the South Node in order to get to this point. It is not a guarantee that you full embody your North Node, if you don’t put the work in, it is unlikely you will get there.

The South Node
This South Node is your karmic bucket of shit that needs emptying.
This is actually a space that often feels familiar and instinctive, as it is the patterns you arrive with on earth. There is real wisdom here, but there’s also habits, attachments and ways of being that stop you from growing into your full potential.
The work isn't to abandon your South Node. It's to carry forward its strengths while untangling yourself from the patterns that keep you stuck.
FOR THE COLLECTIVE:
Just like everything else in the sky, the Nodes move through the zodiac. They change signs roughly every 18 months, and when they do, the collective focus shifts and new themes emerge on the world stage.
The North Node points towards the qualities we are learning to embody.
The South Node highlights what needs to be challenged, released and transformed.
The last 18 month cycle was in Pisces (☊) and Virgo (☋), which encouraged greater compassion and a deepening of your intuition, it asked us to open into spirituality. There was a strong pull to surrender instead of needing to over analysis and control every outcome. Shifting away from perfectionism and into a greater flow state.
What does this mean now?
On the collective world stage, this is a powerful time, as the problems and crises that come up will highlight what is no longer sustainable. The cracks in the system are going to be impossible to ignore. For some of us, this may not be anything that shocking, as we will have seen some of this coming for some time.
North Node Aquarius wants power to return the people.
Leo South Node will kick the pedestal from under those arrogant enough to have built their life on it.
Fuck the 1% and Hex the patriarchy. Those who have benefited from power, ego and serving themselves at the expense of others will be in for an uncomfortable ride. Here’s to the “untouchables” joining us back down in the dirt, as we strengthen our communities and come together as one.
We are far more powerful together, which is the part the power hungry egomaniacs that rule would rather us forget. This is why we have seen an increase in division in recent years - this is not by chance, it is calculated.
For us as individuals, the nodes will have different flavours depending on your birth chart. It will be especially impactful to those that have their nodes in Aquarius and Leo.
But collectively, North Node Aquarius will be asking us all to come together more in community in mutual support of one another. This is about moving into spaces of service, where equality not only matters but is a driving force. Aquarius is progressive as fuck, it’s forward thinking and cares about all of humanity. No pedestals here, just hands reaching out to unite together. What we consider the norm right now is likely to break down over the next 18 months, and we will be in a whole new world by the end of this journey.
The South Node in Leo will get us to consider our relationship with personal importance, and our need to be validated. It wants us to let that shit go. We are moving away from self serving behaviour, and narcissistic/celebrity/influencer culture. We will start to dismantle the programming that tells us our worth is dependent on the external. This does not mean we start to self sacrifice either, just that greater considerations are made for how all actions have a ripple effect far beyond ourselves and our immediate reality.
We have curated a world where being top dog, holding power over others and receiving praise have become markers of our success and worth. This nodal journey will challenge that. We will need to start taking greater responsibility and care for the impact we have on others, and remember that our sense of worth comes from within.
The systems that hold this paradigm in place have been cracking for some time, and those in power positions have been doing all they can to keep a hold of it. Divide and conquer is far from a new ideology, and they have been pushing their narrative to remain in control. Their agenda though damns us all, not just those that fall for it.
My hope is by the end of these 18 months, much of what we know now will have been stripped away (I’m a dreamer y’all). And that more people will be standing proudly, and safely, in the truth of who they are - with no pedestals in sight.
Less it’s us against them, and more equality, care and compassion in the world.
The journey has only just begun, and although the astrology tells us what's happening, through ritual we can participate with it.
On September 27th, I'll be holding an in person dedicated ritual ceremony for us to come together and intentionally work with these nodal energies. Together, we'll consciously release what is ready to be left behind and take our first steps into this new chapter.
This will be a powerful gathering that serves not only your own journey, but the collective journey we're all walking together.
