The Turning of the Wheel, Eclipse Season + Returning to the Heart
We welcome the month with Lammas, the halfway point between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. Grains have grown and berries are sweetening, this is the first harvest. An invitation to assess and look at what you’ve achieved since spring. Take time to pause and appreciate the hard work, patience and care required to nurture both the land and ourselves.
This whole month is medicine. Residing mostly under a Leo sun, August is a chorus singing us a tune to activate some deep heart wisdom.
Sounds beautiful, right? But yay life, it is never quite that simple.
There is a big clearing required so that we can create the space to remember ourselves. Which has already begun with Julys Aquarius Full Moon. We have to take a look at who we’ve pretended to be, consciously or subconsciously first.
Leo wants to play, shine and sing our soul song proudly; it is here that we want to reconnect to our authenticity and courage. Because come Virgo Season, we ground these revelations practically into our daily living, as this is sign that encourages embodiment. Virgo thrives with clear lines and supportive habits, and is devoted to weaving our heart truth into grounded reality.
Chiron joins Pluto, Neptune and Saturn in Retrograde at the beginning of the month, bringing a collective healing slow down. Personally, use it to reflect and tend to what needs it most.
The Nodes have now changed to Aquarius and Leo, and are beginning their new 18month cycle of growth and evolution. This will be particularly uncomfortable for anyone that seeks belonging outside of themselves (aka, pretty much all of us). The Leo shadow may feel gnarly to clear, but it is so necessary in the world right now. It is an invitation to step into our power, but not to serve self. It’s the path that will return us to our unique light and our purpose for reincarnating on this earth at this time - which is always for the highest good of all.
The first Solar Eclipse in Leo opens the portal mid-month, and will push to clear anything that is blocking your authentic heart. Although this portal closes a couple of weeks later, this is just the beginning of a 6 month journey with the energies that arise for you at this time, so pay attention.
There are lessons to be learnt, and chapters to be closed. All endings are beginnings, Pisces teaches us this well. And near the end of the month, the Lunar Eclipse in this sign will offer us a grand closure - not just to this portal, but to themes that unfolded for you during the 18 month Pisces Virgo Nodal journey. Release, surrender, complete - it is time to shut this book.
Things will look and feel very different by the end of the month. Cycles will have completed, there will be an activated remembrance in your heart around it’s purpose and you’ll be able to start paying the way to create healthier more sustainable ways to embody it.

The journey has only just begun, and although the astrology tells us what's happening, through ritual we can participate with it.
On September 27th, I'll be holding an in person dedicated ritual ceremony for us to come together and intentionally work with these energies. Together, we'll consciously release what is ready to be left behind and take our first steps into this new chapter.
This will be a powerful gathering that serves not only your own journey, but the collective journey we're all walking together.
